About

Many thanks for taking the time to look at this website; it represents a small selection of my favourite work over the last few years. Ironically, I only became interested in photography in my early twenties, having been introduced to the joys of traditional darkroom printing by a friend. At that time, I hadn’t a clue what was involved in the process of taking an image and like many, simply pointed the camera at whatever scene appealed to me and pressed the shutter. I quickly became aware however that these images were nothing more than ‘snaps’ and rather poor ones at that.

After emptying my local newsagent’s shelves of all the popular photographic magazines around at that time, I was adamant that I could improve on my technique and ability to ‘see’ an image. My wife will testify to the fact that once I set my mind on something that’s it!

A decade and a half later (and probably the cost of a small family car!), I admit to being even more passionate than in those early days and never tire of this wonderful art form.

I very much hope you share this experience too.
